Legends of Avallen - Against the Faerie Queene Art Book

I’ve been flipping through this art book all evening, and the fiery depiction of Gorlois’s campaign is exactly the gritty, medieval tone I was hoping for. The page stock feels substantial and the color saturation on the battle scenes really makes the flames pop.

The oversized pages let the battle illustrations breathe, and I spent a good hour just studying Gorlois's armor details in the siege scene. The paper quality really makes the muted earth tones pop.

I was blown away by how richly detailed the page about King gathering his army in Cornwall is — the description makes you feel the weight of that march. The hardcover binding feels sturdy enough to last through many re-reads.
