The Hardwar Rulebook provides simple, flexible rules for fast-paced, tactical play in a hard sci-fi setting. Classic armoured warfare with tanks and aircraft is enhanced by mech walkers, dropships, and exotic weapons, plus futuristic combat evolution – cybernetic warfare, AI infantry, sentient combat swarms, and an electronic fog of war.

The start of the 22nd century sees an age of planetary exploration in the Solar System, but ecological disaster back on Earth. The old global order is no more, yet from the ashes rise new technologies, neo-colonialism and a new breed of war – the Hardwar: small-scale actions fought by large-scale armoured elements.

You may play as a private security company commanding corporate forces, a revolutionary rabble, a marshal protecting farmsteads, remnants of nation-states, or more. Use pre-built ‘elements’ or create your own with the simple construction system, then dominate your foes on the battlefield of the future.

Designed for 6mm (1/285) scale miniatures, Hardwar requires only a couple of models and terrain pieces to get started, some twelve-sided dice, a few tokens, a measuring tape, and a table to play on.
